Abstract
This thesis summarized the cases of the development and internationalization of construction industry, and analyzed the current developing strategy of Taiwanese construction industry. It also compared the general circumstances and the internationalize strategy between Japan and Taiwan, in order to find the opportunity of internationalization for Taiwanese construction industry.
The study explored the theory of strategic analysis, and concentrated to the theory of the strategy of internationalize, integration, diversification, and strategic alliance.
In Chapter 3, the author generalized the background and history of Taiwanese construction industry, and emphasized on the definition, characteristic, procedures, structure, and competition status.
In chapter 4, the author also induced the general situation and analyzed the competition strategy of Japanese construction industry.
This thesis also compared the only successful exemplification of CTCI group to the enterprises that has internationalized experience in Taiwan, and analysis the business model and strategy.
Conclusions of this study are: (1) The construction industry is localization business. (2) Construction company needs higher technical skill to become an internationalization business. (3) Strategic alliance can salve the problem of resources lacking for internationalization. (4) The internationalization degree of market will influence the entry strategy of a construction company.
