Abstract
To summarize, the research concludes with five
results. First, the compilers of the two
anthologies are investigated and determined,
thus resolving a textual issue since the Early
Ching Dynasty. Second, a comparison is made
about the Pre-Tang Period in “Gu-shih-guei”
and “Gu-jin-ming-yuan-shih-guei.” Third, a
comparison is made about the Tang Period in
“Tang-shih-guei” and “Gu-jin-ming-yuan-shihguei.”
Fourth, an analysis is provided of
women’s poetry from the Sung, Yuan and Ming
4
Dynasties, which represented a rare selection of
any poetry from those periods. Finally, a
reconstruction is given of the new canon Zhung
Xing attempted in his focus on women’s poetry.
