Abstract
In the Project Management nowadays, Critical Path Method has been the main managing method used here. However, Doctor Goldratt revealed the blind spot of Critical Path Method and, based on his early work, the Theory of Constraints, proposed a new concept for project management, known as Critical Chain.evertheless the Critical Chain Scheduling Method hasn’t been wildly used in domestic engineering projects. It may because the 50% reduction of duration estimates or the uncertainties of buffer calculation and buffer management that can hardly be applied in real cases. This study adduces a simple architect construction project, and uses the software assisted to CCSM, Project Scheduler 8, analyzes its results, then designs, and distributes the questionnaires. Also by applying the Fuzzy Statistics, the study learnt the minimum time that could spend in some important activities; moreover, to ascertain the ratio of reduction of these activities in the case.ince CCSM hasn’t been wildly used around the construction projects, this study builds up a process to acquire the ratio of reduction of duration estimates, hoping to support construction management while leading-in CCSM.
