Abstract
Prior studies about service quality of search engines focused on the technical view and ignored the users’ profile. The purpose of this study is to investigate users’ evaluations of blog features and traditional features for blog search engines, from the perspective of Kano model, which provides a structure to categorize feature qualities. The analysis obtained from Kano Model is usually for group-based, without considering individual differences, which lead to difficulties in applications for personalization. Therefore in this study, we analyze the results on individual basis and applying chi-square analysis to assess the different evaluation patterns among users of different blog use experiences. The results show that users’ experience has significant impact on quality feature categorization, suggesting that the feature quality categorization of blog search engines is dynamic, and highly dependent upon user experiences.
