Abstract
This study aimed at developing two-stage compression heat pump water heaters. In hardware design, the condenser increase heat exchange area by using fins, and at the same time, the length of the condenser brass is reduced. On the other hand, in order to reduce heat stratification, the hollow PC-board is added into water storage tank to produce natural cycle. By using refrigerant injection, the two-stage heat pump can decrease the temperature of refrigerant from compressor. By using PI control technology, superheat of refrigerant injection can be controlled within 1 ℃, and the water temperature in water storage tank is also controlled in the range of 50 ~ 55 ℃.
