Abstract
We have designed two end-fire antennas on LTCC with horizontal and vertical polarizations respectively. The antennas operate at 38GHz, a potential frequency for 5G applications. The horizontally-polarized antenna provide a broadband performance about 27% and 6dB end-fire gain and the vertically-polarized one provide a 12.5% bandwidth and 5dB gain. Both antenna are integrated under a compact substrate. Excellent isolation is achieved between the nearby elements making these antennas suitable for corner elements in 5G mobile system.
