Abstract
This study uses the analytic network process (ANP) theory to determine the objective weight values for this issue. The purpose of this paper is to present a method for selecting a health information system vendor that helps consider the effects of interdependencies among the decision criteria. This study can provide primary clinic administrators with a decision-making and evaluation tool that actively encourages the outsourcing of the medical sector to information technology contractors. Furthermore, an ANP model can assist the primary practitioner in similar multi-criteria tasks in an objective and systematic manner when selecting appropriate information software firms. © 2012 American Scientific Publishers.
