Abstract
Information systems are often evaluated by different groups of users. Differences in users could create difficulties in assigning weights to evaluation criteria using methods such as multiattribute utility theory. Of additional concern is the type of system under evaluation. This study finds that user differences in the perceived importance of various evaluation criteria do not exist as anticipated in the literature, but that differences do exist for system types. © 1996, Authors.
