Abstract
The thesis focuses on the feasibility of realizing a digital controller for a DC-DC switching Buck converter, and discusses what should be taken into account while designing such a controller and the problems that may be encountered.
The prevalent primary structure of a digital controller consists of three block, A/D converter, digital PID compensator, and the DPWM(Digital Pulse-Width-Modulated).
In the thesis one Buck converter hardware with a variable input voltage range 5~12V, output voltage 2V, output current varied from 2A to 2.5A had been carried out and one digital compensator written in assembly had been tested to observe if which could live up to the expectation.
