Abstract
In process of drawing the local disaster prevention and rescue plan for local
governments, the determination of design defense magnitude of natural disasters
is one of the essential study works. The design defense magnitude of natural
disasters can be used as the basis of defense target to draw the disaster
prevention strategy for the local disaster prevention and rescue plan, which
includes administration system for disaster prevention and rescue work,
planning of monitor and warning system, defined high hazard potential zones,
land-use restrictions, the shelters and relieved resources allocated. To survey the
local disaster prevention and rescue plan of all country governments, the
common problem is the deficiency of design defense magnitude of natural
disasters. The purpose of this project is to propose the analysis the design
defense scope of natural disasters, including inundation, landslide and
earthquake hazards. The pilot study for two counties was conducted to check the
performance of results of the design defense magnitude of disasters. The
achievements of this project will help the cooperation teams of National Science
and Technology Center for Disaster Recuction(NCDR) to carry out the project of disaster prevention and rescue plan revised for all country governments in future.
