Abstract
Mostd of the inorganec fillers in restorative dental materials were quartz and silicate at the present. Because of their larger hardness than that of denture, abrasing tooth will be happen and polishing difficultly after restoration. On the other side, the weak bonding between resin matrix and fillers cause fillers dropped from the resin, intercrack between interfaces of resin and fillers, materials and cavities. These result in reducing life-time and multipling bacteria in cavities both. Of the investigated materials, coupling bioglass fillers in BIS-GMA based composite resin create chemical bonding at interface, avoid intercrack affected by the differences of thermal expansion, stress cycle and interface potential, also promoting various mechanical properties and considering polishing easily and no aggregate while lifting fillers content. Compotite with either silane treated fillers or not, display better biocompatibility than commercial dental restirative maetrials. And most of the cytotoxicity come from the resin part of the compesite, it also shows the good biocompitibility of bioglass fillers. And we hope all of these will be applied to the field of dental materials in the future.# 0564#
