Abstract
A solid and nitride removal models
within a bubble motion was made, and a
bubble column equipped & aeration systems
was designed for two intensive culture
system by recirculated water , included an
eel pond and a multi-layer abalone pond. In
practice, the main aquatic solids size ranges
are less than 60μm in eel pond and larger
than 300μm in abalone pond. The solid
nitride concentration is two times over than
soluble nitride in eel pond, but one third in
abalone pond. 15cm inner diameter
column,120μm bubble size, 15 to 18 liter
per minute air flow rate and 7 to 10 liter per
minute water flow rate were set, therefore
the water retention time 138 sec in eel pond
water and 197 sec in abalone pond water
were controlled. The solid removal rate
above 80% and the nitride removal rate 50%
were get in eel pond, but the same removal
rate could not get in abalone pond at the
same process. The result that the water
treatment design need follow within the
different mass characteristics in any fish
culture, and the adapt process design will be
get in abalone pond in future.
