Abstract
As a result of the rapid growth of information technology rapidly develop, libraries now deploy automation systems to improve their services. In the past few years, the government spent 360 million NT dollars on public library automation systems. How did it work? Was it worth while? In what direction are library automation systems heading? All these questions and issues this paper will discuss. The paper reviews automation systems of the public library first. Then through data analysis the authors also propose suggestions for the public library automation systems in the near future.
