Abstract
A LLC resonant power converter has found increasing applications in the field of power supplies. It feature high efficiency, low EMI and can be designed with compactransformer. In this thesis, analyses were conducted for the circuit operations for different region of voltage-gain vs normalize frequency plot. The analysis results allow designer to choose suitable region of operation in their design. Dead time analysis result provides information about suitable deadtime for the design. A step-by-step design procedure for choice of transformer turn-ratio, resonant-inductance, magnetize-inductance, and resonant-capacitance were proposed. An experimental prototype was build based on the design from the proposed procedure. Analytical results were verified by the experiments.
