本研究的主要目的是比較正常體重與肥胖年輕女性之體位測量，身體組成及基礎代謝 率 (BMR)。29位年輕女性（年齡19至29歲），依理想體重百分比(Percent ideal body weight; %IBW)分為三組：l4位正常體重(90-102%IBW)，7位輕度肥胖(122-129% IBW)及8位中度肥胖(l 40-156%IBW)。其體位是用皮尺及皮脂夾(Lange skinfold caliper)測量，身體組成及基礎代謝率是用生物電子阻抗儀(Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, BIA; Biodynamics Model 310)測量。三組之間的比較是用one -way ANOVA及Newman-Keuls test分析。結果顯示這三組(1)身體質量指數(Body Mass Index; BMI)於正常女性為20.5±0.3kg/平方公尺，明顯(P<0.05)低於輕度肥胖(25. 5±0.2kg/平方公尺)及中度肥胖者(30.6±0.5kg/平方公尺)； (2)上臂三頭肌的皮脂 厚度於正常女性為18.3±0.8mm，明顯(P<0.05)低於輕度肥胖(27.1±l. 5mm)及中度 肥胖者(31.8±1.7mm)；(3)身體脂肪含量於正常女性為25 .3±0.7%，明顯(P<0.05) 低於輕度肥胖(32.4±0.9 %)及中度肥胖者(38.6±0.7%)；(4)基礎代謝率於正常女性 為1201±52Kcal/day，明顯(P<0.05)低於輕度肥胖(1381±36Kcal/day)及中度肥胖者 (1521±52 kcal /day)。但每單位體重之基礎代謝率以肥胖者為明顯偏低。所以，肥 胖者的體質屬於低基礎代謝率，可供臨床減重計劃的參考。建議以運動增加代謝率的 方式，達到減肥的目的。 The major purpose of this study was to compare the anthropometric measurements , body composition and basal metabolic rate ( BMR) between young females with normal body weight and with various degree of obesity. Twenty nine young females (ranged from 19 to 29 years old) were divided into three groups, based on the percentage of ideal body weight (%IBW): normal weight group (n=14) with 90-107%IBW, mildly obesed group (n=7) with 122-129%IB W and moderately obesed group (n=8) with 140- 156 %IBW. Data among three groups were compared by one-way ANOVA and Newman-Keuls test. The anthropometric measurements were measured by Lange skinfold caliper. The body composition and the basal metabolic rate were measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA; Biodynamics model 310). The results indicated that: (1) the triceps skinfold of normal weight females was 18.3±0.8mm which was significantly (p<0.05) lower than mildly obesed (27.1±1.5mm) and moderately obesed groups (31.8±1.7mm); (2)the percent body fat (%fat) of normal weight females was 25.3±0.7% which was significantly (p<0.05) lower than mildly obesed (32.4±0.9%) and moderately obesed groups (38.6±0.7%); and (3)the BMR of normal weight females was 1201±27Kcal/day which was significantly (p<0.05) lower than mildly obesed (1381±36 Kcal/day) and moderately obesed groups (1521±52 Kcal/ day). However, the basal metabolic rate per unit body weight (BMR/ BW) was significantly (p<0.05) lower in the obesed groups. Therefore, the obesed females were hypometabolic as compared with the normal weight females.
