Abstract
This research presents an approach for automatic formwork quantity takeoff. The approach, which is implemented with Revit API, includes a formwork calculation process and a BIM model building rules.
This research uses a six-story apartment as an example to verify the accuracy of the approach presented in this research. The result shows that the approach is high-accurate on most formwork assemble situation, while some types of formwork assemble can not be calculate correctly due to the limit of Revit API.
