A previously undescribed hyphomycetous fungus was isolated from keratitis developed in a soft contact-lens wearer. It grows extremely slowly on various Culture media. Its phialide-like conidiophores lacking an abrupt inflation and catenate, hyaline ameroconidia lead us to consider the fungus a species of the genus Sagenomella.
