Abstract
A sennclassical theory of multiphoton enhancement of vibrational excitations by molecular collisions is developed. The vibrational-field surfaces (quasienergies) which exhibit avoided crossings are determined via Floquet theory. Transition among the dressed quasienergies are studied using semiclassical time-dependent theory. The effect of collisional velocity, anharmonicity and light intensity upon vibrational transition probability is evaluated for collinear collision of A+BC(v). © 1982.
