Abstract
We use the method of QCD sum rules to investigate both the -N and 0- mass splittings. In the case of the -N mass splitting, our numerical results indicate that the mass splitting is dominated primarily by the quark-gluon condensate 0|gcq(a2)Gaq|0 and the observed mass splitting may be understood. In the case of 0 mass splitting, we obtain a value of about 66 MeV, which is slightly smaller than the observed value of 77 MeV. © 1994 The American Physical Society.
