Abstract
The material symmetry is assumed to be such that the inplane and antiplane deformations are uncoupled. A correspondence is obtained between the anisotropic and the isotropic problem. Through such a correspondence, the relationship of the stresses and displacement for the anisotropic and the corresponding isotropic problem is established for both polar and cartesian coordinate systems
