Abstract
Five dienetricarbonyliron complexes were synthesized. Their Mössbauer spectra are discussed. Reaction of 3,3′-biindenyltricarbonyliron with aluminium trichloride gives anthracene, but 3,3′,4,4′-tetrahydro-1,1′-binaphthyltricarbonyliron, yields different products. This difference in behaviour is briefly discussed. © 1979.
