dc.description.abstract | 本研究利用海軍達觀艦上的TOPAS低
頻聲納系統(1~4仟赫)收集海底沈積物
迴聲剖面資料,並比對由岩心標本分析所
獲得的海床沈積物岩性,建立利用TOPAS
海床迴聲剖面資料來推估海床底質聲學特
性的能力。由於研究工作內容廣泛,本線
上繳交之成果報告僅簡要陳述研究計畫之
內容,執行經過及主要結果。計畫主持人
將另外提送完整之書面計畫成果報告(包
括系統操作手冊,資料處理手冊,資料分
析圖例,海床底質特性圖等成果)。
本研究分析了達觀艦在高屏海域兩個
航次所收集到約一千一百公里長的TOPAS
海床迴聲剖面資料,經整理TOPAS迴聲剖
面特徵及比對許多剖面上或接近剖面處曾
經採集岩心標本且獲致海床沈積物聲學特
性的站址資料,獲致如下結果:
1. TOPAS海床迴聲剖面資料的可用性
受海底地形變化以及TOPAS系統收集參數
設定的影響。海床坡度較大處,反射能量
不易接收到。而TOPAS系統收集參數的正
確設定與否更影響到資料解釋的可信度。
2. 海床迴聲影像和海底沈積物岩性有
良好對應關係。岩心標本中含砂量高(超
過20%)的地區其海底面的反射係數通常
大於0.3,迴聲剖面顯示聲納穿透力弱;而
粉砂含量超過70%且泥含量超過20%的地
區,海底面反射係數一般小於0.3,其迴聲
剖面則顯示出清晰的內部層理。
本研究成功利用達觀艦上的TOPAS系
統所收集來的海床迴聲剖面資料區分出砂
質海床與泥質海床的分佈情形,進而提供
高屏海域聲納音傳損耗計算所需的海床底
質聲學特性參數值。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | This study establishes the acquisition and
processing capabilities of the TOPAS subbottom
profiling system, and also evaluates
the techniques of estimating the acoustic
properties of seafloor sediments offshore
southwestern Taiwan from TOPAS subbottom
profiling data. This brief report
summarizes the research work carried out for
this project and presents the major results. A
complete written report with detailed
documentation will be submitted separately.

Over 1,100 km of TOPAS profile data
have been acquired offshore southwestern
Taiwan. These data were processed and
analyzed, then correlated with corresponding
geo-acoustic properties derived from core
sample analyses. Major results of this study
are:
1. The quality and reliability of the
TOPAS profile are affected by the roughness
of the seafloor topography and by the proper
selection of system parameters during data
acquisition.
2. There is a good correlation
between the sedimentary properties and the
characteristics of the TOPAS profile images.
Sandy sediments usually present images of
high seafloor reflection but little penetration,
while silty and muddy sediments show good
layering structures below seafloor and deep
penetration of the sonar energy.
This study demonstrates that a rough
estimation of the seafloor sedimentary
properties can be achieved using TOPAS
