In this work, we present multiphoton images of normal and diseased liver specimens and we will characterize the changes to pathological liver specimens. In particular, we will focus on the physiological changes associated with liver fibrosis. Our results show that multiphoton microscopy is a useful technique for distinguishing normal and diseased liver tissues and that it has potential applications for in vivo diagnosis of liver diseases. |
