Title: | INTRODUCTION, PART-1—Geodynamic evolution of Eastern Himalayan and Indo–Myanmar orogenic belts: Advances through interdisciplinary studies | Authors: | Singh A.K SUN-LIN CHUNG Somerville I.D. |
Keywords: | Eastern Himalaya; Indo–Myanmar Orogenic Belt; multidisciplinary studies of geoscience | Issue Date: | 2022 | Journal Volume: | 57 | Journal Issue: | 2 | Start page/Pages: | 476-481 | Source: | Geological Journal | Abstract: | This Special issue covers research articles of interdisciplinary studies of geosciences to understand the magmatism and exhumation history of the crystalline core, pressure, temperature, time, and deformation (P–T–t–d) conditions of the geologically least explored eastern Himalaya and Indo–Myanmar Orogenic belts and adjoining regions. It has the potential to become a reference volume for researchers particularly working in the Eastern Himalaya, Shillong Plateau, Assam-Arakan Basin, and Ophiolites of Northeast India, including the Andaman Ophiolites. Although there remains a lot still to cover the entire area of the proposed region, this volume will be useful to future researchers and will also have the potential to become a reference volume for researchers particularly working in the north-eastern part of India and adjoining regions. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons Ltd. |
