Abstract
Economic growth brought our society not only affluent life, but also a
varying social problem. Reflected to these problems, a variety of non-profit
organizations established to solve some social problems on the one hand,
and move society to continue growing. Many non-profit groups associated
with social movement raised in recent years. These groups consisted of
environmental protect, women movement, profession, liberal arts, natural
ecology, culture, commodity, and aboriginal groups. For their sustainability,
these groups should take the group as the place for lifelong learning. The
stakeholders including advocates, administrator, programming, practitioner
and audiences within each group should continue to learn and grow.
This study place emphasis on the non-profit organizations in rural area.
The main purposes are described in below:
1. understanding the non-profit organizations in rural area.
2. understanding the vision of the non-profit organizations in rural area.
3. understanding interlock relationship of internal and external factors of
non-profit organizations in rural area.
4. understanding the procedure of the program development in the
non-profit organizations in rural area— including the mode of the
program development, priority setting, objectives setting, the method
of teaching and the decisions who makes for the above matters.
5. understanding the learning setting results of stakeholders— Could
learning raise rural learners consciousness, empower learner and
make perspective transformation in learners’ minds?
This study makes only research on the groups working toward to local
cultural protection and environmental protection. This study selected these
groups because of they doing similar services to audiences and most likely
doing their services in rural areas.
