2017-06-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/711249摘要:虛擬實境 (VR) 與擴增實境 (AR) 提供嶄新的使用者體驗,將顛覆教育和娛樂等各大領域。本計畫由國立臺灣大學、國立交通大學與國立臺灣科技大學攜手合作,整合資訊工程團隊的技術力與設計團隊的創新力,研發加強體感與視覺體驗之創新設計與混合實境技術。在視覺體驗方面,本計畫率先研發結合週邊視野以及中央視野的優化視覺技術,運用人類全幅的視野來大幅提升資訊傳遞的效率和體驗。在體感技術方面,本計劃研發搭配觸覺、壓覺和溫覺等體感回饋,提升整個使用者體驗的豐富度、互動性、與認知沈浸。本計畫將透過生命科學教育以及宇宙冒險遊戲兩個使用情境,來展示我們研發的 VR/AR 設計流程及技術。並與三種不同業種之廠商進行合作,分別是領先全球虛擬實境技術的「宏達電(HTC)」,國際知名的遊戲內容公司「赤燭(Red Candle)」,以及由 VR/AR 相關企業所組成的「台灣虛擬及擴增實境產業協會(TAVAR)」來推廣本計劃的成果。此外,本計畫更將與荷蘭恩荷芬理工大學(TU/e)進行國際合作,期能於產業需求與國際交流方面均能有所貢獻。<br> Abstract: Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) have the potential to deliver new user experiences and transform many important fields, such as education and entertainment. This project aims to design and develop new visualization and haptic technologies to provide users with novel experiences and effective information delivery. Specifically, we are building visualization technologies that utilize the entire capability of human visions, by leveraging both central vision and peripheral vision. Also, we are developing wearable haptics technologies to support heat, touch, and force feedback to enhance the immersiveness of VR/AR. In addition to new technologies, we are researching into user experience design frameworks for VR/AR. Combining the above design frameworks and technologies, we plan to demonstrate novel user experiences through the following two scenarios: 1) life science education and 2) outer space exploration. Our PI and Co-PI’s consist of world-renowned computer scientists from National Taiwan University (NTU) and National Chao Tung University (NCTU), and designers from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), and we are collaborating with leading hardware and content companies including HTC, Red Candle Games, and TAVAR.
