2007-08-012024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/691884摘要：延伸戰場－從國內擴張到海外擴張 本研究計畫提案目標在於檢視創設起始條件、產業進入決策、國內擴張與海外擴張行為間之關係，研究文獻指出廠商進入產業早，可以發展並享有特定效益，但是其他廠商則隨著產業演進發展而較晚進入產業。大多數研究專注於創設起始條件與先發者的優勢研究，但只有少數的研究探討新創企業進入產業後的策略性國內擴張或海外擴張行為。本研究提案建立於組織生態學、先發者優勢、地理擴張、以及海外市場多角化等相關文獻基礎，嘗試檢驗創設條件、產業進入決策，國內擴張行為、與國外擴張行為間的影響關係。 創設條件包含廠商創設時的市場環境條件以及組織特質，產業進入決策則分成進入時機與進入規模來探討，本研究計畫提案將檢視市場環境條件、組織特質、產業進入時機、以及進入規模如何影響廠商國內擴張與海外擴張的時機與積極度。除了認可「晚起步總比不起步好」、以及「晚起步但更積極」之外，新創廠商或可學習到「延伸戰場—從國內擴張到海外擴張」可能是產業內廠商競爭的另ㄧ個策略選項。 <br> Abstract: Extending the Battle Field: From Domestic Expansion to International Expansion This research project aims to investigate the relationships among founding conditions, industry entry decisions, domestic expansion behavior, and international expansion behavior. Previous studies indicate that firms enter an industry early to develop and capitalize certain advantages, while some other firms enter later as the industry evolves. Many studies focus on the founding conditions and first mover advantages of startup firms. However, few studies focus on the competitive behavior of startup firms to undertake domestic expansions and international expansions. This study draws from the literatures of population ecology, first mover advantage, geographic expansion, and international market diversification to examine the relationships among founding conditions, industry entry decisions, domestic expansion behavior, and international expansion behavior. Founding conditions include market conditions and organizational characteristics. Industry entry decisions incorporate entry timing and entry scale. The study proposes to examine the effects of founding conditions and entry decisions on timing and aggressiveness of domestic and international expansions. While recognizing the rule of “better late than never” and “late but aggressive”, managers of startup firms may further learn that “extending the battle field — from domestic expansion to international expansion” may be one strategic option to outperform counterparts.跨國企業產業進入決策國內擴張海外擴張MNEEntry DecisionDomestic ExpansionInternational Expansion
