The project is developed on the basis of the Adaptation Strategy to Climate Change in Taiwan and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The content of the project has three main aspects. The first aspect is to propose a training programme of climate adaptation that generates the existing knowledge in relation to water resource and flood risk management. The second is to promote intensive collaboration between industries and academic professions. This is crucial to develop climate adaptation in a practical term. Third, multi-actoral activities, such as brainstorming workshops, are highlighted in this project to confront a more comprehensive framework for practical discussions. The project lasts for one year. It is coordinated by Prof. C.P. Tung (Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, NTU) and by Prof. M. H. Li (Graduate Institute of Hydrological & Oceanic Sciences, NCU). Expertise of climate change is important for the study. Eight experts in relevant fields will be invited to form the core research group. The Center for Weather Climate and Disaster Research (NTU) will contribute as a crucial partner for consultancy. The research outcomes will be integrated in the education programme of the university as 10-hour lessons. These lessons will be addressed in the obligatory courses for students training to tackle the issues of water resource and flood risk management.氣候變遷水資源水災風險管理教育調適Climate changewater resourceflood risk managementeducationadaptation氣候變遷調適水資源及災害專業課程融入
