2009-08-012024-05-18https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/699933摘要:本計畫目的在於一、推動高中基礎科學教育,並推廣高中師生(或其他相關人士)對自然科學的深入了解;二、協助台灣主辦2009年地球科學奧林匹亞競賽初期準備、出題等相關工作,並訓練學生參與「亞太經濟合作會議-未來科學家計畫」成果競賽。本計畫將透過下列方式,以數值實驗和圖形展示,協助國高中師生思維實驗(conceptual experiment)的能力: (1)定期或短期基礎課程—以大氣科學及流體力學為切入點,設計基礎物理、化學和數學領域之相關課程,引導高中師生(或相關人士)思考基本物理及流體力學應用; (2)實作小型實驗—著重身邊隨手可得之簡單實驗; (3)電腦數值實驗—著重計算及圖形顯示,從中了解自然科學非線性之特性; (4)思考概念實驗—著重思辨分析綜合能力,引導他們登入科學殿堂; (5)英文閱讀訓練—透過閱讀英文雜誌相關文章,學習知識,也同時增進英文閱讀能力; (6)團體互動—透過探索團隊活動,輔導他們去發現問題、解決問題和表達問題,學習溝通以及文字書寫能力。 本計畫將嘗試與不同學校有興趣的高中教師及學生接觸,加強高中師生對基礎科學的概念,設計實驗以提升學習科學的動力(特別是大氣科學),並加強教師輔導學生的能力,培養學生參與科學展覽,維持科學答問網頁,支援高中自然科學社團活動。在本計畫支持下,本人將透過演講、實驗指導和互動討論等方式,與國中高中教師一同提升國內科學學習環境。未來計畫重點將特別放在動力系統之介紹與應用,強化數值實驗,尤其重視簡單的動力系統,對生命科學、大氣科學,或其他基礎科學的應用,並著重計算和圖形顯示,以及思辨分析綜合能力,引導學生進行思維實驗,登入科學殿堂。此外,本計畫期間內將協助2009年臺灣主辦地球科學奧林匹亞競賽,進行初期準備、出題等工作。近期內也將展開培育學生參與韓國舉辦的「亞太經濟合作會議-未來科學家計畫」 (APEC Mentoring Center for the Gifted in Science) 訓練課程,明(2008)年8月學生將參加在韓國首爾舉辦的年輕科學家與Mentor的國際研討會,展示研究成果;未來計畫期間內,將會持續指導學生,參與「亞太經濟合作會議-未來科學家計畫」的工作。 <br> Abstract: The purposes of the high school scientific education and promotion project are to promote high school science education and to build a simple special rotating fluid tank instrument. The rotating fluid instrument will be used to demonstrate the phenomena of Taylor column and the diffusion in the rotating fluid. The high school scientific project is to promote high school science education through the activities of (1)Regular lecture on basic physics, chemistry, and mathematics that are pertinent to the atmospheric sciences and geosciences, (2)Simple laboratory experiments; to learn the science by hands on experiences, (3)Numerical experiments; to explore the nonlinear nature of sciences as well as to quantify the sciences, (4)Conceptual experiments; to build the capability of scientific reasoning and to be critical in reasoning, (5)English essay reading, (6)Internet discussion and writing exercise. We will interact with different high schools and select teachers and students to work on the project. The goal is to understand the important basics, to build the capability of scientific reasoning, and to learn science (especially atmospheric science) and mathematics through scientific experiments. The project will also serve the purpose of helping high school scientific education. We will, in the coming project, do the preliminary work for the 2009 Geosciences Olympia Contest to be held in Taiwan.
