Available generic dynamic curves, correlation relationships for dynamic parameters and liquefaction behavior are mostly applicable for saturated soils. With the development of the theory for unsaturated soil mechanics in recent years, attention has been paid to the dynamic behavior of unsaturated soil. The objective of this proposed research is to perform extensive laboratory study to determine the static monotonic (e.g. drained shear strength, steady state line) and the dynamic (e.g. degraded modulus, liquefaction potential etc.) engineering properties of unsaturated sands with fines. In addition, statistical models for correlating the steady state parameters and the liquefaction parameters will be developed. In this study, static triaxial tests, cyclic triaxial tests and flow pump tests will be performed. Fines content, void ratio, degree of saturation, and confining pressure of the unsaturated soil specimen will be systematically varied. It is hoped that the laboratory results and statistical models developed in this research can aid engineers in estimating the liquefaction potential of the unsaturated sand with fines.Unsaturated soil, sands with fines, liquefaction, dynamics triaxial test, flow pump非飽和含細粒料砂土之動態性質與液化行為之實驗研究
