2007-08-012024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/690734摘要:隨著 RFID 科技迅速的發展,它將會創造了一個斬新的市場競爭規則,並且 對於現有的商業習慣產生潛移默化的影響;透過實證研究的方式,對於這些發展 過程中的許多現象進行深入探討,將有助於企業正確地回應與有效地管理這些相 關科技所帶來的衝擊與競爭策略的轉變(Brewin, 2000)。 然而,有關這個方面的實證研究似乎趕不上行動科技發展的步伐,並且存在 相當大的落差;由於 RFID 科技的特性具有對於跨組織間的影響性,因此針對現 有科技研究所獲得的知識,並不足以解釋這些特性;同時,組織也必需對於運用 這項科技,所可能產生影響之跨組織間的所有利害關係人的關係有清楚的認知與 了解。 對於這項科技所帶來影響的預期與被實證的經驗間的落差,將會對於組織決 定是否持續或者放棄採用 RFID 技術,有著正面或者負面的影響;雖然回顧整個 RFID 的技術發展歷史軌跡已超過 60 年,但它真正開始被應用在商業活動上大概 是始於 1970 年代;經過 30 多年的發展,這項科技在產業上的應用仍然未達到廣 泛採用的臨界點;根據相關研究預測指出,大概還需要大約 10~20 年左右的時 間,這項科技才能達到被醫療與其他產業廣泛應用的水準(Malykhina, 2004)。 RFID 科技潛在重要的貢獻但在實際廣泛應用的腳步卻很緩慢的矛盾之下, 值得我們從理論與實務等不同的角度來研究,藉以了解其中主要的原因,並且找 出如何能夠在短時間之內讓這項科技達到廣泛採用地步的方法。 在本研究計畫三年的期間,我們將嘗試發展一個整合性的架構來清楚地解釋 RFID 科技採用與傳散的因果關係;針對代表性的個案研究,將發展驗證這個架 構的問卷設計基礎,並且根據這些分析討論一個有效的展開模式。<br> Abstract: As RFID technology creates a new competitive market and potentially transforms the manner in which business is conducted (Brewin, 2000), a deeper empirical understanding of the phenomenon would be crucial to help organizations response to and manage the technological impacts and strategic competition. However, empirical studies have seemed to substantially lag behind such projections of the mobile world among practitioners. Knowledge about the technology alone is not sufficient because RFID has inter-organizational impacts. As such, an organization also needs to have knowledge about its relationship with its stakeholders in an inter-organization context. The gap between expectation and confirmed experience will either positively or negatively influence an organization’s decision to continue or abandon adopting RFID. Although the history of RFID goes back more than sixty years, its business applications started in the 1970s. The industry has never achieved a critical mass of adoption at the time level after thirty years of development. Some forecast that it could take another 10-20 years in hospitals (Malykhina, 2004), and other industries to reach widespread item-level adoption. The contradictory views about the potential contribution of RFID and its slow adoption poses a theoretical and practical research agenda to understand “why”and “how”to shorten the lead-time for the mass adoption. In this 3 years research project, an integrated framework will be examined as an attempt to illustrate the certain degrees of causality on the RFID adoption and diffusion. Ad hoc case studies as well as questionnaire survey will be conducted to validate such framework.
