Early diagnosis and intervention are necessary to reduce the morbidity and mortality. Radiographic or sonographic detection of free air is neither sensitive nor specific for PPU. We report a case of sealed-off PPU with direct sonographic demonstration of the perforation tract within the anterior wall of the gastric antrum. The diagnosis was confirmed at laparotomy.Helicobacter pylori; Perforated peptic ulcer; Pneumoperitoneum; Preoperative diagnosis; Ultrasonography[SDGs]SDG3adult; article; case report; clinical feature; diagnostic accuracy; diagnostic imaging; early diagnosis; echography; human; intermethod comparison; male; physical examination; pneumoperitoneum; preoperative evaluation; radiodiagnosis; stomach perforation; stomach ulcer; surgical approach; Helicobacter Infections; Helicobacter pylori; Humans; Male; Middle Aged; Peptic Ulcer Perforation; Preoperative Care; Stomach UlcerPreoperative sonographic diagnosis of sealed-off perforated gastric ulcerjournal article10.1002/(SICI)1097-0096(199806)26:5<26996083722-s2.0-0031804241
