A woman with acquired constipation was suspected to have a right ovarian strumal carcinoid tumor preoperatively. The severe constipation was relieved dramatically after successful laparoscopic resection of the tumor. The correlation between constipation and a gut hormone, peptide YY, is discussed.enConstipation; Laparoscopy; Peptide YY; Strumal carcinoid; PEPTIDE YYLaparoscopic resection of an ovarian strumal carcinoid tumor with dramatic relief of severe constipationjournal article10.1016/j.jmig.2009.11.011202264172-s2.0-77649244195WOS:000276577600023https://api.elsevier.com/content/abstract/scopus_id/77649244195
