Complexes were characterized by spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. Complex Ir-Pd shows an excellent catalytic activity for both Suzuki-Miyaura and Sonogashira cross coupling reactions under blue LED irradiation at ambient temperature. This catalytic system is operated via light energy harvested by the Ir center, which is able to cooperate with Pd center for the coupling reactions to take place.
