Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses supported the structure elucidation of known steroids 5 and 10. The absolute structures of hippuristanols were established by application of modified Mosher's method on 19. Compounds 14-19 have been found to exhibit significant cytotoxicity against several cancer cell lines. ? 2005 American Chemical Society and American Society of Pharmacognosy.application/pdf129799 bytesapplication/pdfen-US[SDGs]SDG3[SDGs]SDG143 acetyl 2 desacetylhippurin 1; hippuristanol derivative; natural product; unclassified drug; analytic method; article; cancer cell culture; chemical structure; coral; crystal structure; cytotoxicity; Isis hippuris; nonhuman; oxygenation; steroid analysis; structure analysis; X ray diffraction; Animals; Anthozoa; Antineoplastic Agents; Crystallography, X-Ray; Drug Screening Assays, Antitumor; Humans; Molecular Structure; Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Biomolecular; Stereoisomerism; Steroids; Tumor Cells, Cultured; Anthozoa; Gorgonia; HippurisPolyoxygenated Steroids from the Gorgonian Isis hippurisjournal article10.1021/np050033y2-s2.0-22544436074WOS:000230153900011http://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/174400/1/46.pdf
