We maintain that the first campaign by female students not only effected concrete regulation amendments, but also raised awareness of the toilet issue among legislators and the general public. Nevertheless, the women’s toilet movement requires reexamination, with respect to the way it consolidated the ideology of a binary sexual segregation of space. Indeed, the 2009 Unisex Toilets Campaign initiated by several university LGBT groups, which did not earn any formal response from the government after perfunctory media coverage, affirmed the hegemony of sexual dualism. By using interviewing and text analysis, this study will examine the toilet experiences and needs for transgender people, the attitudes and discourses of general public, as well as provide some possible designs of unisex toilets.公共廁所無性別廁所性別友善廁所跨性別性別歧視public toiletsunisex toiletsgender friendly toiletstransgendergenderism從搶攻男廁到無性別廁所:廁所運動的女性主義分析
