The information would be important reference materials for the forecast, monitoring, prevention and control of the hazards caused by the climate change. The research would be expected to significantly reduce the negative impact of climate change on zoonotic diseases in the future in Taiwan. (2) Edit the information into a book and distributed to relevant units and personnel, and published a special review article in Taiwan Veterinary Journal, would make veterinary researchers and medical personnel have a better understanding on climate change and hence adopt a more active response strategy. This would contribute to the sustainable management of livestock industry and the protection of ecological environment in Taiwan. (3) Establish the animal disease surveillance programs after the extreme weather events (in particular, at the flood areas after flooding) can help reduce disaster victims and economic losses stricken by extreme weather events. (4) collection and analysis of the temporal and spatial distribution of native avian influenza flu and Q fever monitoring data and the relationship to the climatic factors, can establish a baseline data of the diseases and basic information for future establishment of disease risk prediction model (5) set up a working group to planning the research on the impact of the climate change on important animal diseases and zoonotic diseases and the methods for their prediction and control, can efficiently allocate resources of the research in a cost-effective way.
