2024-05-182024-05-1824631https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/717640郭銘傑是國立臺灣大學政治學系專任副教授。他自在國立臺灣大學獲得政治學(國際關係組)學士與碩士學位,並在美國加州大學聖地牙哥分校獲得政治學博士學位(專攻國際政治經濟學)。在進入國立臺灣大學任教前,郭博士曾在美國喬治城大學華許外交事務學院的莫塔拉國際研究中心擔任博士後研究員。在 2018 年至 2020 年間,他曾擔任臺灣政治學會財務長。 郭博士的研究領域包括國際政治經濟學、政治心理學、民主研究、研究方法與美中關係。他的實質研究聚焦在中國崛起在不同議題上對其他社會的影響,如南海的領海爭端如何影響中國在區域內的軟實力、大流行初期台灣民眾接種中國製新冠肺炎疫苗的意願,還有美國是否會介入臺灣海峽軍事危機的外交政策辯論。郭博士的研究已經發表於國內外政治學、區域研究與跨領域社會科學的一些頂級學術期刊上,包括《社會科學與醫學》、《當代中國研究》、《政治科學論叢》、《台灣政治學刊》與《遠景季刊》。 郭博士承諾透過研究引導教學創新來給予學生高品質的學習體驗。自 2021 年起,他連續兩次獲得國立臺灣大學教學優良獎。在 2022 年,他也是獲得教育部教學實踐研究計畫社會(含法政)學門績優計畫獎的首位政治學者。 郭博士目前擔任《政治科學論叢》的執行編輯,國立臺灣大學政治學系系友聯誼會總幹事,以及臺灣網路治理論壇多方利害關係人指導小組主席。Jason Kuo is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Associate Dean for International Affairs in the College of Social Sciences at National Taiwan University. He received his PhD in Political Science (with a focus area on International Political Economy) from University of California, San Diego, and both BA and MA in Political Science (International Relations Division) from National Taiwan University. Prior to joining the faculty of National Taiwan University, Dr. Kuo was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Mortara Center for International Studies in Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. He served as the Treasurer for Taiwanese Political Science Association Between 2018 and 2020 and the Executive Secretary of National Taiwan University Political Science Alumni Association between 2021 and 2024. Currently, Dr. Kuo serves as the Executive Editor of Taiwanese Journal of Political Science, International Affairs Commissioner for Taiwan Network Information Centre, and the Chair of the Multistakeholder Steering Group for Taiwan Internet Governance Forum. Dr. Kuo's fields of research include international political economy, political psychology, democracy study, public diplomacy, digital governance, China's rise, and experimental methods. Substantively, he has worked on the political economy of China's rise across a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to) impacts of the maritime territorial disputes over the South China Sea on China's soft power in East Asia, the public willingness to receive the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine in Taiwan at the early stage of the global pandemic, and the American foreign policy debate over the strategic ambiguity toward the Taiwan strait. His research has appeared on some leading international and domestic journals in political science, area studies and interdisciplinary social sciences, such as Social Sciences & Medicine, Journal of Contemporary China, Japanese Journal of Political Science, Chinese Journal of International Politics, Taiwanese Journal of Political Science, Taiwanese Political Science Review, and Prospect Quarterly. Dr. Kuo is committed to providing students quality learning experience through research-informed teaching innovations. He is the recipient of the University's Teaching Excellence Award twice in a row since 2021. He is also the first political scientist awarded the Teaching Practice Research Project Excellence Award in the Division of Society (Law & Politics) by the Ministry of Education in 2022.
