We report a 24-year-old woman who was noted initially to have aortitis and severe aortic regurgitation caused by Behcet's disease. After receiving aortic valve replacement, aortoplasty and immunosuppressant therapy, her condition became stationary. As far as we are aware, she is the youngest case that has undergone surgery. The early onset of hemodynamic decompensation is considered to be related to delay in diagnosis and lack of steroid treatment. ? 2010 Formosan Medical Association & Elsevier.[SDGs]SDG3immunosuppressive agent; adult; aorta valve regurgitation; aorta valve replacement; aortitis; aortoplasty; article; Behcet disease; case report; chest tightness; disease severity; dyspnea; female; heart left ventricle ejection fraction; heart left ventricle hypertrophy; human; human tissue; immunosuppressive treatment; treatment outcome; Aortic Valve Insufficiency; Aortitis; Aortography; Behcet Syndrome; Blood Vessel Prosthesis Implantation; Diagnosis, Differential; Echocardiography; Electrocardiography; Female; Heart Catheterization; Humans; Treatment Outcome; Young AdultAortitis With Severe Aortic Regurgitation in Behcet's Disease: A Case Reportjournal article10.1016/S0929-6646(10)60025-3201235902-s2.0-76749136616
