The primary principle of the project is to develop a global perspective with Taiwan as the focal point. The strategies we employ in this research are cooperating with the University’s plan to develop NTU into a world class research university, coordinating the department’s research human resources, engaging ourselves in a dialogue with the world, and applying what we have learned from the research to classroom teaching. It is hoped that our students, equipped with a thorough understanding of foreign languages and literatures, will be able to go beyond the field in which they specialize. The Internet has changed both teachers’ ways of language teaching and students’ ways of language learning. Blended teaching, in which lectures are combined with Internet resources, has become an important trend in current pedagogy. With Ceiba (Collaborative Enhanced Instruction by Asynchronous Learning), a teaching platform created by the University’s Education Technology Group, we are trying to implement the theory of blended teaching and evaluate its influence on language teaching in higher education. Moreover, we are using advanced linguistic technology to collect (semi-automatically) free but legal linguistic materials and other related resources available online to establish an intelligent system of assessment and diagnosis.文學研究語言科技Literary StudiesLinguistic Technology學術領域全面提升/文學院/文學研究與科技語言整合型計畫
