In addition, it is known that grafting technique is widely used in commercial production of cucurbits and solanaceous vegetables, so as to, e.g., increase yield, improve resistance to soil-borne diseases and abiotic stresses, promote plant vigor, and induce or promote flowering. Given that vernalization and grafting both can induce or promote plant flowering, this research aims to develop cabbage grafting technique, investigate effects of grafting and vernalization on cabbage flowering, and discuss the molecular mechanisms of cabbage flowering regulation. Accordingly, the contents of this research will include (1) Studying the effects of rootstock species and varieties on flowering of grafted cabbage, (2) Setting up the acclimatization conditions for cabbage grafting, (3) Studying the effects of vernalization on flowering of grafted cabbage, (4) Developing the cabbage grafting method, and (5) Studying the molecular mechanisms of cabbage flowering regulation associated with grafting and vernalization. The techniques developed accordingly will be useful for seed production and breeding of cabbage in the lowland areas in Taiwan and other subtropical zones.甘藍嫁接開花春化作用cabbagegraftingfloweringvernalization嫁接與春化作用對甘藍開花之影響及其分子調控機制
