In this sub-project, we will collect the background information of Taoyuan Tableland such as: land use, water use, climate, and hydrological and water quality data, to further simulate streamflow, sediment and nutrients in the study areas through the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT). The goal will be met by following tasks: (1) Collect the background information of the Taoyuan Tableland; (2) Integrate with satellite image analysis to build the database of irrigation systems and hydrological parameters in the study area; (3) Build SWAT models for the four watersheds of the Taoyuan Tableland (Nankan River Basin, Laoji River Basin, Shezhi River Basin, and Fuxin River Basin) to simulate streamflow, sediment, and nutrient loads; (4) Evaluate the impacts of the agriculture area and industrial area on the watersheds through different scenarios base on the collected data; (5) Quantify the impact of long-term changes in land use and management on surface water quality of the Taoyuan Tableland, and analyze driving factors of water quality changes; (6) Evaluate the suitability of the irrigation operations and reservoir operations in the SWAT model for simulating the reservoir watersheds and agricultural watersheds in Taiwan; (7) Establish the watershed management strategies for the Taoyuan Tableland.Critical zone, hydrological model, spatiotemporal changes in hydrology and water quality, land use change, paddy field, irrigation, reservoir.探討桃園台地地表水質之長期時空變遷
