The proposed PST control strategy can maintain the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) feature during the mode-change transition of the FSBBC and increase the output power of the PV system. Computer simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed PST strategy. © 2011 IEEE.[SDGs]SDG7Buck boost converter; Control strategies; Maximum power point tracking; Output power; Photovoltaic applications; PV system; Smooth transitions; Computer simulation; Electric converters; Energy conversion; Photovoltaic effects; DC-DC convertersProgressive smooth transition for four-switch buck-boost converter in photovoltaic applicationsconference paper10.1109/ECCE.2011.6064260
