Compounds 1 and 2 are 2a-methoxy-4-aryl-2,3- naphthalides. Compounds 3-6 belong to the 4-arylnaphthalene class, with compounds 4-6 being O-β-glucosides. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis. Compound 4 increased the activity of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase by 65% at a concentration of 1.89 μM.[SDGs]SDG3lignan derivative; phyllamyricin d; phyllamyricin e; phyllamyricin f; phyllamyricoside a; phyllamyricoside b; phyllamyricoside c; RNA directed DNA polymerase; unclassified drug; virus enzyme; article; controlled study; drug isolation; drug structure; enzyme activity; Human immunodeficiency virus 1; nonhuman; Phyllanthus; HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase; Humans; Lignans; Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy; Naphthalenes; Plants, Medicinal; Spectrometry, Mass, Fast Atom Bombardment; Spectrophotometry, Infrared; Spectrophotometry, Ultraviolet; Human immunodeficiency virus; Human immunodeficiency virus 1; Phyllanthus myrtifoliusSix lignans from Phyllanthus myrtifoliusjournal article10.1021/np960322+89467482-s2.0-0029954104
