Taiwania as well as Ginkgo biloba, Sequoiadendron giganteum and Metasequoia glyptostroboides are the “living fossil” from the Tertiary period of the Cenozoic era. To consider in the wood utilization and bioactivity points of view, there are several research results of Taiwania published in international scientific journals. However, less investigation of the importance of enzymes in the tree growth and development at a molecular level in Taiwania up to date. Therefore, in this proposed project, we will study on the functional genomics of Taiwania growth and development based on our established expression sequence tags (ESTs) library and the results of microarray analysis by functional genomic approaches. Coupling with proteomics, microarray analysis, transformation system and bioinformatics, we hope in the future to explore the genes and/or enzymes, which involved in the growth and development in Taiwania. Based on these efforts, it will obtain the genes associated with differential and metabolism to provide the useful information for the researches on tree physiology, tree improvement, evolution, and conservation in the future.臺灣杉DNA 生物晶片生長發育功能性基因體學Taiwania cryptomerioidesDNA microarraygrowthdevelopmentfunctional genomics以功能性基因體學策略解析臺灣杉之生長與發育
