It aims to strengthen the agricultural biotechnology capacity of countries within Southeast Asia and is envisioned to pave the way for the enhancement of their respective biotechnology industry. The project was co-organized by College of Bioresources and Agriculture and Center for Biotechnology, National Taiwan University; Food and Fertilizer Technology Center for the Asian and Pacific Region (FFTC), Science &Technology Policy Research and Information Center, National Applied Research Laboratories, Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture(SEARCA) and supported by National Science Council, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan and American Institute in Taiwan (AIT). Through this capacity-building activity, future cooperation and partnerships in the development of agricultural biotechnology industry are expected to be established. About twenty-five participants will attend the training-workshop. They are researchers, professors, or research managers from Southeast Asia such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
