This objective was met by using a simple analytical model of three consecutive circles. First, the residual thermal stresses in the three-concentric-circles model were derived. Following this, the results for residual radial stresses at the top coat/TGO and the TGO/bond coat interfaces were obtained as functions of the TGO thickness.Analytical modeling of oxide thickness effects on residual stresses in thermal barrier coatingsjournal article10.1016/S1359-6462(99)00430-32-s2.0-0342906504https://www2.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-0342906504&doi=10.1016%2fS1359-6462%2899%2900430-3&partnerID=40&md5=898893dd155b6a6725bbe79b8d0e0ad5
