The purpose of this subproject is to propose a “balanced benchmarking” model to address the fairness issue in performance evaluation for products and organizations in inherently different, non-homogenous environments. The traditional data envelopment analysis (DEA) model will be modified to create a level playing field for performance evaluation in order to achieve a balance between efficiency as a traditional performance measure and fairness as a key measure of sustainability. This subproject will investigate an emerging and important issue in value-oriented supply chain management – how to achieve a balance between efficiency (i.e., as a key performance measure of economic development) and fairness (as a key performance measure of sustainable development).平衡公平與效率的永績發展績效評估Balancing Fairness and Efficiency in Sustainability Performance Evaluation
