We investigate the laser system output characteristics and evaluate sensor performance under different sensing distances incorporate the fiber Bragg gratings. The results show that this semiconductor optical amplifier-based laser sensor possesses a dynamic sensing distance up to 37 km at 350 mA injection current. Stress/pressure detection and reliable linear-cavity fiber laser sensing operation were successfully achieved.[SDGs]SDG7Long-range multiwavelength sensing using semiconductor optical amplifier-based fiber laserconference paper10.1109/ISNE.2014.68393832-s2.0-84903841319
