2007-08-012024-05-17https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/695404摘要:本計畫(子計畫二)是為期十三年本組參與日本高能實驗室[B 介子工廠]國際合作 研究整合型計畫的主要硬體工作。台灣所建造的前置量能器(EFC),在B 介子工廠 啟用運轉時,對亮度的監測及提昇作出重要貢獻,是我們做B 物理研究的入場券。 而我們亦藉由教育部核定的追求卓越計畫,參與Belle 的矽頂點探測器(SVD)的升 級計畫,負責軟性印刷電路板(FLEX)及時序觸發控制模組(TTM)的製作,成為Belle 的核心研究團隊。 本計畫是關於如何利用有限人力,參加超級B 介子工廠(Super KEKB)的研發計畫。 主要是藉著與夏威夷大學合作,研發新一代的矽點陣探測器,希望能在台大建立設 計晶片探測器的能力及測試的環境。我們也將與輔仁大學合作,希望在純碘化銫晶 體量能器的監控系統上,共同做出貢獻。當然我們仍要對維持EFC 的正常運轉及 SVD 團隊派出長駐日本KEK 的人力,並持續完成每年一到兩篇的B 介子到重子反重 子對的物理論文,以期達到參與日本高能實驗室B 介子工廠的科學目的。 <br> Abstract: This proposal (sub-proposal two) is the hardware core of the integrated proposal, Participation in KEK B-factory in Japan, which was funded thirteen years ago. The Extreme Forward Calorimeter (EFC) built in Taiwan made an important contribution for the luminosity determination/monitoring and accelerator tune-up in the initial running of the B-factory. EFC had become the identity of the Taiwan group and an entrance ticket for us to do B physics analyses. We were very fortunate to get extra funding (In Search of Academic Excellency) from the Ministry of Education to get involved in the upgrade of the Belle Silicon Vertex Detector (SVD). The main hardware tasks were to construct the flexible printed circuit boards (FLEX) and trigger timing modules (TTM) for SVD2. Definitely our group has become the core teams of the Belle collaboration. This proposal is related to use the limited manpower participating in the Super B-factory project and in the same time maintaining the running of EFC and SVD. We plan to collaborate with Hawaii University in developing CMOS based silicon pixel detector. To acquire the ability in chip design/layout and set up the test environment are the primary targets. We would also like to work with Fu-Jen University on the monitoring of the future pure CsI calorimeter.
